I was just looking at this one this morning, and thinking, what the heck were they thinking with that red... I've never seen that before. Now twice in one day. This one's in Greece, NY. Must be something in the water out that way...

If I had to put a pin in the one you're asking about, I'm thinking early 40's, perhaps a bit earlier. On the side under the handle, is there any evidence of ground over, smoothed out broken rivets from a serial number tag? It'd be a narrow tag, one rivet at each end.

Dp 220 model no serial number or evidence of it

no serial number or evidence of it

I'm thinking (vaguely recalling, not knowing... I had a fondness for these at once in my life, but I've moved on to covet other things...) I believe that serial tags started for 1941, which, if the evidence holds true under all of the "bodywork", would make yours 1940 or earlier.

Thx for info another guy said 32 to 36
