Freind of mine got a mystery collet in a batch of his stuff. Can anyone identify from either the symbol on the top or the dimensions written on the side?
He's not a member, just trying to help someone out.
I have a full set of collets with that symbol that looks like two Ps back to back, but I could never determine which company made them---my collets don't look like your collet but similar to most collets---I'm hoping some other member knows the brand-----Dave
another good older collet specification chart and which collets were used on certain lathes and mills is in 11th and 14th editions of Machinery's Handbooks--the newer handbooks don't list these but the charts and information is very handy----pages 1058-1060 in the 11th edition---and pages 1358-1360 in the 14th edition---good to remember these if you have old vintage machines or older collets----these still don't help me in knowing about the brand of the double Ps back to back symbol----hopefully some one knows which machine they were used in-------Dave
