Hey all! Found this mill for sale, looks in decent condition but may have been restored/ repainted.

- The owner is unsure what model it is. All that's left is a serial number. Can anyone identify this model?

- The X axis power feed was removed and put on another machine. Are these universal power feed kits from Amazon pretty easy to install? And would it need a special drive gear? Or is there a Birmingham kit?

- anything to look out for that is known issues with these models?

Looks like a standard Bridgeport clone. Probably Taiwan built. If it’s in good condition and the price is right I’d say go for it.

Nice mill!
H&W would have a power feed
Martin

Run the head at several speeds and listen for bad noises- those vari-speed heads can be involved to rebuild
If it was a Bridgeport I would be less concerned since parts are available but Bridgeport parts may not fit a clone

The Chinese power feeds should work just fine. Mike

That looks just like the Chevalier at my last job. It ran great and still could get parts. Yours may cross over for parts.

Cutting oil is my blood.

Is this oil leak something to be concerned about or is it normal and easy seal to replace without needing to disassemble the spindle

I would be more concerned if there wasn't any oil.

John
