Help With Grandpa & Dad's Old Machines!

Absolutely Maria, we all love to see more tools!

EDIT: also if there are accessories that you do not recognize, post them too. I am sure someone here can tell you what they are and what machine they belong to.

What is this or what does it do? I feel like such an idiot about all of this equipment. I greatly appreciate your help!

Is this a pipe bender? Sorry for the mess. This was after the shop had been closed up and before we cleaned everything.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for the pictures!

172204 to 172325 looks like a pipe threading machine(total guess!). It has a whole bunch of dies included. It looks like someone mounted the Dodge speed reducer into a custom table.

172412 to 172435 appears to be a Canedy "camel-back" drill press, like this one: http://vintagemachinery.org/photoindex/detail.aspx?id=9723

172537 and 172542 is a Delta wood lathe.

170746 and 170751 is a bender. It looks like there are dies to bend pipe/round stock and flat bar.

Those are not things that I know ballpark prices for. If you get no other replies about price, I'll surf some.....

.....oh and by the way...this thing sitting on the bender table:
upload_2015-7-18_21-55-12.png

looks like a cap for a compressed gas (oxygen, acetylene, CO2, Argon) cylinder.
It is best to move those tanks with the cap securely screwed on, otherwise if the "bottle" falls over and the valve/gauges break off they may become rockets....

Be safe!

This is a bender, possibly a Hossfeld (sp?). It is used for bending all types of iron. There should be a whole assortment of dies that go with it.

A pipe threader, but from the number of dies around probably used for general purpose threading of bar stock.

Howdy Maria,
Sorry to hear that your dad was not able to enjoy these tools for very long. I did a little more research into the drill press. As already reported it is a Canedy-Otto but more specifically a No. 36 Power Drill. I am interested in it and would like to add it to my "collection" of iron age machinery that will be put to good use. I am down in Texas so it is a little ways distant from me to come take a look. I would like to know more about it and if there are any Monmouth firms that could rig it for shipment.
