Hello everybody,

first of all thanks for the recording here.

My name is Daniel and I come from Germany.

I recently bought a Drilling & Milling Jet-16.
In retrospect, I noticed that a part is missing.
I would like to recreate this and need your help.

Could one of you, the same machine, give me the exact dimensions of this part?

I miss the longer wedge from the X axis.

Sorry for my bad English.

Greetings from Germany
Daniel

It's night time for the group in America, other time zones may chime in....

The "rong fu" mills are quite generic, you may be able to use a spare part from another brand for the replacement "gib"

Welcome to the world of machining :)

Do you have a tip on where to order such a part?

First thing to do is figure out which rong fu clone you have. I think it's either the RF 30 or the RF 20.

if it's the RF 30 then many companies still sell that version.

Have a look at the sizes of them and compare them to yours.

Is it a JET - 15? , I can't quite see in the photo.

Yours is an old model. Not sure where to get replacement gibs. The modern equivalent is the Jet JMD-15; looks close to the same machine. Even the column base is the same so I suspect the gib from a JMD-15 would fit. I don't own this machine so hopefully someone who does will chime in.

I have an RF 25 type mill, I can pull the gib later and measure it see what it's size is for reference.

That would be great!
Then please measure the table, length and width, then I can compare it with my table.

Sorry I got caught up with around the house tasks ! , I will move it to the top of my todo list !
