This steady rest came along with my new-to-me lathe, but is obviously not correct for the machine.. Can anybody identify what make it is, or know what lathe it is intended for?
It measures about 4.5" high from the base to center. It has the number 9-326 cast into the frame.
Thanks!!

Well that sure looks like it.. Maybe 6-326 for a 6" lathe, and 9-326 for a 9" lathe?
Geez, 250 bucks?? I better go spray a coat of paint on that thing!

This is a picture of my steady off a 9 inch Atlas. The second measurement that is critical is the 2 3/4 inch between the bed rails. Note the difference in the bolt hold down for the support fingers. That could be due to changes of the years. Hope the picture helps.

Your steady has a large brazed section on the bottom, Has it been altered to fit your machine?
