Interesting Die Holder from unusual source..

That's the first time I've ever seen the Marsala Machine Shop ever measure something with calipers! But I about carped my britches when old boy was leaning into the moving chuck and letting it ride with his loose man-dress all up in there like that. With a habit (pun intended) like that, it's amazing he's still alive.

But enough snide humor, that's a pretty solid tool. Could come in handy...

Personally I would have given that die .001 more clearance.
 
That is a "brazed-point" tool! Pretty clever tailstock die head. It should be able to handle the torque.
 
Now, where to find a hub and half-shaft to modify.......
