I received the cheap Chinese DRO the other day and it really looks pretty good. It even works on the bench!! LOL. Quality seem decent enough for $250 and no shipping! It has many features and the instructions are as clear as...Chinese. I'm pretty excited either way.

The scales have the reader heads attached so it seems it's just a matter of getting everything installed. The display on the head is super clear and it will do everything I need.

Where I'm having an issue is where and how to mount the head to the mill. It came with a decent square tube and mount but the Bridgeport has radius and curves everywhere. WHAT HAVE YOU GUYS DONE and how have you mounted the bracket to the mill??

Looking for ideas, THANKS for any help (and pictures)!

Anchor it from the 5/8-11 ram lifting hole.
That's exactly what Bridgeport did with their factory installed DRO's
