I've had a ten year hiatus from heavy duty machine shop work while (re)building a car. Not that there was no machine shop work, its just that it was more on the fabricating side. Here is the "finished" car, a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine.
And getting there.
Cleaning up the chassis. Initially, I was going to take it dwon to bare steel. But after a high pressure wash, it looked so good I just painted it.
First engine, a turbocharged Pinto 2.0.
The "hot side".
The Pinto proved to have issues, so I decided to upate the engine by about 3 decades. So I installed a 2.3 Ranger Duratec.
Modifying the starter housing to clear the steering arm.
Home made fan pulley
Airconditioning/alternator bracket
Header.
Intake manifold.
Gear shifter extension.
Painting the Beast.
Second engine, current incarnation.
There are about a million steps that I have skipped.
