I just purchased a small benchtop lathe JET BD920N from a local guy here in the Denver/Boulder area. The Previous Owner replaced the tool post with an aftermarket QCTP (see pics below). Few things about it: 1) It only has three tool holders, and I could use about 2 more; and 2) It's very small and appears to be less rigid than the original.
What size is this QCTP, there is no markings on it of any kind - made of anodized aluminum about 1 3/4'' on each side. If I know what size it is, I can start looking for additional tool holders.
Also, I don't want a honking big one, but I'd consider just replacing it with something a little larger and more stout - what size should I be looking for that would fit my machine? Not yet well versed in all those namings (0XA, AXA, BXA., etc..)
Edit: the compound platform with the stud is 2'' and 3/16 square.
Links would be appreciated.
