New to me Clausing lathe

Mike and I had a great day together. It was a blast getting to move 2 lathes in a day. I did a rough level with my machinist level last night. I will fine tune it once I am able to get it powered up. Might be a few weeks on that. I will do a bar turning on it to get any twist out.

It is great having good friends!
 
I took the compound off as it was real sticky retracting the last inch or so. I took it apart and found there was some upset on the one end. I took a fine file and took the high spot down then stoned it flat. I adjusted the gibs a bit. (This has to be done disassembled as there are locking screws on the underside of the top section. I did not take a before picture a during and after I did.
