I need to put a 1/8-27 NPT mail thread (on an oil pressure sender) into a 3/8 20G BSF whole, on an antique truck. Would making an adapter be possible? Difficult? Anyone interested?

Wondering why you don't use an oil pressure sender that comes with 3/8-20 BSF thread? Doesn't Rover use them?

I learned that BSF is a Whitworth style thread (55°) straight thread.
If I had to make one, I think I would buy a 3/8-20 BSF hex head bolt, then drill through and tap (the head end) for 1/8" NPT.

Because the BSF is a straight thread, what is the plan to seal it?

How deep can the adaptor extend into the female hole?

Have you seen these?

Is BSPP the same as BSF? I haven't seen a BSF to NSF adapter anywhere.
No. Often wondered myself, 19 vs 20 tpi). Apparently used on grease fittings. Often wondered why our parts guy could not come up with the correct parts, (among other parts).
