... I would consider pulling the spindle if it's heating up. You may need to adjust preload.
Don't pull the spindle. A certain amount of heat with these cutter heads is normal; see my post above. Preload is adjusted by actual end-play and if you loosen it up you will damage the bearings. A set of spindle bearings is not cheap.

Listen to Cal, not me! But, be aware that OVERheating bearings are a sign of an underlying issue...
