Does anyone know if there are particular model numbers of the rockwell/delta band saws that are metal cutting saws?

The 14" Wood/Metal saws had a few different model numbers here are some but probably not all:

28-380 no stand
28-385 steel stand
28-387 cast iron stand

There are also 20" saws (again probably not a complete list)

28-367
28-368
28-371
28-373
28-374
28-376
28-377
28-365 (models vary by motor size and type)

If you look at the old catalogs over on the Vintage Machinery Web Site you can probably find some more.

I have one of the Rockwell / Delta wood / metal saws. Mine is a 14". Do not recall the model.

I just restored it after using it for about 25 years.

It went underwater during Hurricane Katrina, then was in storage after that for several years until I could fix it.

I bought all the parts I needed from a place in Houston Texas call "Circle Saw" - http://www.circlesaw.com.

They were very helpful.

Thanks to those that replied I am looking for one and thought it might be helpful if I knew what I was looking for. a former employer had one and we had them in the school shops when I was in high school. now the search begins, it is the one thing id like to have in the shop yet.
