This is a tool cart made from more of the salvaged birch/maple plywood. Gives me a way to put 2 tools in one space.
Drill press on top and spindle sander on the bottom. On wheels if I need to move it.
Then I had an idea for a slide out tray for the spindle sander, makes it much easier to get out. I started with a badly cupped walnut slab. 2nd cut off the log.
If I would have planned it the way it was I would have ended up with a 1/4" board. Cutting it into strips before surfacing saved the thickness.
The boards finished out about 13/16"
Glued them back together.
Much easier to lift now, keeps you from bending over and reaching out with something heavy. That's a recipe for disaster!
