That is a nice vise.
A bit on the pricey side but that stands to reason. It's a quality tool.

I made this several years back. The clamp is borrowed from a table saw tenon jig.
Hard maple harvested from my property.

I took a block of Delrin and made it look like a magazine for my new S&W AR15. I hold the block in the vise and the rifle is surprisingly secure with nothing to scratch or contact external surfaces. The upper can swing open and down and still not contact anything.
Easy Peasy. Plus, no issue with storage.
