South Bend 9A Where do these parts go?

Finally getting back to a South Bend 9A restore. For the life of me I cant remember where these two "shields" came from. I took a ton of pics, but apparently none of these two items coming out. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

They don't look like anything OEM ---

They are pretty simple items. I think they were used to exclude/ deflect chips ??

Where did they come from?

My 10K has this deflector under the headstock. It kind of looks like the smaller one in your picture. I can't find it in the parts book, but my lathe is newer than the parts book I have. Not sure how it is attached and there is nothing like the larger one.
They do seem to be chip deflectors of some sort.

That's what I don't remember. They came from the lathe during disassembly, but I don't recall where from.
Only one out of over 200 pics pics, show the smaller item, but it's just loose on the bench. This was during the time I finished stripping all the items off the bed.

That seems likely, Thanks Piper! When I get in the shop today I'll try that out.

I think the small one sits atop the motor mount.
