When my wife and I bought our property in 2014, there was an old farmhouse on it. The house, itself, was not salvageable but it did contain a great deal of odds and ends left behind by the previous owners. One of which was this old drill press. When we first saw the place, it was sitting on the porch of the old house. Since that time, it has been moved from here to there to avoid my wife demanding I get rid of it. We have since torn the old house down and built a new one in its place.
Yesterday, I saw the old thing sitting over there by the shed and decided to bring it to work with me as a means of filling the odd slack time.
I have yet to find any marking on it at all, but will certainly keep an eye out for it as I get it cleaned up. Odds are, it isn't as old as it looks, but I don't know much about antique machines of this sort, so this project will be a great learning experience for me.
If anyone has any information to offer, I'm all ears.
Cheers!!
James
