[How-To] VFD JOG Button Question ...

I agree, it should stop when I release the Jog button, but unfortunately it doesn't. When I release the normally-open Jog button the motor keeps running until I press the Stop button, regardless of what the speed or accel/decel parameters are set to.
I was hoping it was something simple. I don’t find jog important enough to have wired it up to my VFD yet, better to get it running and then figure it out later.
 
I’m gonna step out on a limb and throw this out.

try hard wire x3 to x1 then temporarily jump com to x1.
Does it run fwd? If so, does it stop when you remove temporary jumper? If so, you could parallel your ( double pole ) jog switch around the fwd/rev/stp switches.
Just a thought without spending much time looking through the manual.

This won’t give you a reduced jog speed though, so probably not what you want.
