Which Length Digital Caliper for PM-935 Quill

I just order a PM-935 and am planning to use a Mitutoyo caliper for the DRO. I see 5" and 6" kits. The quill travel is 5". Do I need to get the 6" to make sure I have the range covered or will the 5" work?

I used a 6" Mitutoyo. Mine included at digital sensor for the depth stop to trigger the VFD. Details here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmpXogeF
