Ausgezeichnet!

That's an absolutely wonderful restoration. I always admire "old iron," and you've given an old classic a new life. It should last another 50? 100? years!

PS - that's a very interesting switch box. Hope you saved it as a souvenir.

Al parts that came off will not be trown away.
Maybe I can use them in a futere restoration job.

X2 on the rebuild and the switch. Many of those old switches were very well made, and I think could be rehabbed fairly easily. Mike

Wow man! What a beautiful job! That must be some machine to use!! Wow!

Is it possible to show a video of it running some time?

Bernie

As soon I use the drill i will make a video of it running and post it.

I now need to look for a vise Big enough and about the same age the drill press is.

At last, a great drill press that runs slowly enough. Many thanks,
a beautiful rehab on a lovely machine..........BLJHB

This weekend I used the drill for the first time.
For a project I needed to drill a hole of 26 mm in square tubing. I set up my vice on the drill-table and secured it with a bolt.
Mounted a drill of 26 mm, set the machine to 53 rpm started the machine engaged the auto-feed and in a moment of time the hole was drilled.
It worked like a charm.
See for yourself on this video below.
