Bushing for Base
I've been trying to add some photos to a new album but am having problems. I was given a vise with a base that would allow the vise to swivel. The base and the vise were not made for each other and that meant that the pin in base and the hole in the bottom of the vise were way different giving me about a 1/4" slop when it wasn't bolted down. I had a piece of brass and made a pin to fit in the vise that would come down on the base and now I have about a thou slop which I think it pretty good. The next problem is when I try to swivel it, the bold holding the base to the table sticks up to high and I'm going to have do do some milling to make them lower so I can completely swivel it 360. I will try the pictures again tomorrow.
Now if I could just find a deal on a rotary table.
