This is for my older Busy Bee DF-1224 lathe.

I've been looking around, and the closest I can find in color and finish (hammertone/hammered) is #721-1830 from Rust-Oleum.
It's a "dark green" hammertone when applied in two light coats.

Problem though! It SEEMS to only be carried by Home Depot in the states (I called HD Canada and they said they don't have it).
It's an on-line only (not available in store) item, and it's only $30... for a 6 pack!

Is there anyone on here down south who could order up a case and drop ship it to me (you can specify where it goes when it's ordered)?!

I would more than happily PayPal you up front for all costs.

This assumes of course that nobody knows a better color!

Thanks!

(ah yes, the fine art of replying to ones self!)

I stole this pic from someone on the forum here (thanks!).

This is pretty much the exact color of my machine (the green part that is!).

If anyone knows where to get a sprayable hammertone in this color - do tell!

Have you gone to your local body shop paint supplier? Likely the best bet, they can mix just about every colour and add the flake etc for you. Some shops even supply in spray cans as well.

KRYLON makes rattle can paint very close to this green. Also black, silver, gray and red. FYI Have used them all. Or as suggested if you have a sample any major brand paint store can computer match from a sample that even looks good in sun light.

Now, return the favor. Where can I get rattle can "wrinkle" paint. KRYLON used to sell it but no more even though listed in catalogs.

Is the Krylon green a hammertone?
Matching the color isn't hard (I've got spray equipment, so I can get a pint made any time!).
It's the hammertone finish that an auto paint can't seem to pull off.

And you can't get wrinkle finish anymore?! I just did some valve covers in one a couple years ago....
I'll see if the place I got it from still has it. Black I assume?

Read the Jalopnic thread -- that Dimenso looks really good!
Then, much to my dismay, when I went to the SW Canada page; Only available in grey and blue. Whaaaaa.... the paint gods are out to get me! :(

Then again - the blue is kinda nice! :D

Nah, don't want to do the whole machine.
Maybe it's time to drive down to Washington.

Cana paint shop change the colour of the gray to a green? Just thinking.

Yes my man black is the colour of the moment. Red is useful also for refurbing reloading equipment. If you find one do you get them all? Hope so. Thank you. :))
OOP's, yes the green is HAMMERTONE!

PM sent.

Well - as for MY paint situation - I've now ordered up a 1 gallon (!) can of Sherwin Williams Dimenso sprayable stuff.
It's the blue in this pic:

Totally not the green I had - so I'll be tearing down the machine a lot more than I'd planned, and doing a color change!
At least with 1 gallon of the stuff I'll have lots for touch ups. :D

Oh, and if anyone has a green Grizzly {whatever product}, you can go onto their site and hit "quick order" up in the corner.
Then enter "PPAINT-1" and however many cans you want. Only $5.75/can at the time of this post.
