Guys I am getting ahead of myself but when I'm not in garage I am thinking what's next.So my mind is wondering about 5c collet chucks,I watch some Youtubes but no brand names are given I guess cause their made by same company over seas.So my lathe is a 11" that has the LOO spindle,so I was watching a You Tube and the guys said that don't get one that is dedicated to one spindle but to get one with a back plate for that spindle.True? Anyway guys wanting to do little research but not much out there for the ones made over seas other than they are cheaper but pretty good.Anyone has any thoughts on these,I know there's some made here in states but their over 500.00.So maybe 5c collet chuck around the 200.00 range then one at time Royal 5C collets? Thanks guys for any ideals, links, pics

There is someone on here that is selling one . I'll forward his information if you wish . I am looking for a L00 Jacobs flex collet closer myself .

I have one with a Loo 5c collet I’ll sell for $400 plus shipping.
I have one with a rubberflex collet system that holds up to 1 3/8 dia stock. This one is mounted to a Loo faceplate and is a Jacobs . If you look on eBay you will see
Loo back plates are not cheap. The rubberflex I will sell for $300 plus shipping.
I am trying to clear out my shop as l’am 84 years old and it is time.

Jim , I may be interested in the Jacobs L00 . I sold mine awhile back and of course now I need one . Is that listed on Ebay or for sale on here ?

I have Jacobs LO and a D1-8 rubber flex collet chucks I am getting rid of also , if anyone is in the need .

Kroll , Jim was the one I told you about that had one for sale . ;)

Thanks guys on the offering those are the high end quality I wish I had funds to purchase it be nice to enjoy and see what its like to use a quality tool. And I'm glad to hear at 84 still able to kick butt at the lathe, which gives me hope.I have to shop at the lower end of quality or hope to find that gem on auction site due to my limited funds.I have to shop around more in the neighborhood of what kev74 posted but want to check around and wait awhile to see if I get lucky come across better quality on ebay.Watching Youtube see that the lower end has more run out plus its hit/miss.Thanks guys for giving me a chance at quality

I did not list it on eBay. In fact I only thought about selling it when I saw post about someone wanting one. I just have so much stuff and am getting so old. I have 10 or more collet chucks. And my heirs don’t know anything about machining tools.
