Hi folks,
I just published a new build of the app. This one is labeled as "3.22.09 Beta, Build 2022-09-30" and comes with a bunch of small tweaks and fixes. Most of the stuff is "under the hood", but there are two more notable fixes:
1. It has a fix for the app crash on Android 12 (as far as I can tell, at least two people were affected)
2. Lathe tool library has a few fixes. Most notably, the "sync" button adds offsets with the correct sign now (the sign should be opposite from the position). Second, there is now an option to "Select Tool". I.e. set a tool in place, without changing the position. For example, when you already have a tool in the holder and just want to "Acknowledge" it so other tool offsets can be referenced correctly.

Google usually takes a day or two to approve the release, so realistically it will be available around Thursday.

Finally, as of a few days ago I opened up the Alpha testing group, so anyone can join and get access to the app.
The URL for the group is here: https://groups.google.com/g/touchdro-alpha-testing
Once you join it, Google Play should in theory just let you upgrade to the new version, but some people never got the link that way. In such case you can use this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.yuriystoys.dro (or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yuriystoys.dro)

Thank you everyone for testing and feedbacks. It's been very helpful.
Regards
Yuriy

I think I've come across a bug in the latest beta version where I can not update one of the points on the workspace. The changes don't seem to be saved.

I briefly reverted to using the stable version (2.5.10) while waiting for a new beta that fixed the Android 12 startup issue and cleared all my settings while doing do. The two points in the workspace shown in the video were created using the stable version before upgrading to the latest beta. I can edit "Point 2" but not "Point 1".

Did some more testing and the bug is still there even if I create new points in the old workspace or if I create a new workspace with new points.

Hi Yuri,

I have another bug for you - I mentioned it in a PM but I suspect you just have too much on your plate to read all the messages that you receive.

When I tap one of the axis (to zero it) the window that pops us shows the position and also the movement speed. However the numbers of digits is dynamic and seem to be left justified. This means that when the speed goes over 10mm/s everything shifts right. If I am watching the position and moving quickly to get to the other edge of the part it suddenly looks like the scales have jumped (as I did not expect the numbers to jump to the right). It may be worthwhile keeping them in a fixed position.
If you look at the two images attached note how the unit digit for the position has jumped from the first column to the third column because the feedrate went from 0 to 331. It would be better if the readouts in this screen were right justified or in fixed positions with enough space for all digits to be displayed. LIke this depending on the speed that I am moving the table everything seems to jump left and right all the time.

Thank you for the detailed report. I will try to reproduce this and fix ASAP.

Hi,
Can you please confirm that you are using the last build?
Part of this build was a full redo of this dialog (to make it right-justified). If you are, can you please post your tablet details.
Thank you

Sorry I had left the wifi off on my tablet. Switched it back on and got the update. I see it is fixed now

Phew...

So... I've been trying to reproduce this but cant. Either something else I changed fixed the bug (I did some unrelated work in that area), or there is something special about the state of your installation. :( I will push a new build in a few days and hopefully this just fixes itself.

I'll try the new version as soon ss it's released and see if I can reproduce the bug. If you add some logging for that case then I could send you the logs in case I manage to reproduce the bug.
