2x72 Horizontal Grinder

How dose the vertical compare to the horizontal or will I need both?
I just built a vertical version of the 2x72 belt grinder but haven't figured out exactly how to get the most out of it.

You can build "one" grinder, but with different "attachments" that will cover everything you need. Thats the beuty of the KMG style grinders, they are very versatile.

Here is thread of the GIB or "Grinder in a Box" I built (actually still building): http://www.hobby-machinist.com/showthread.php/9690-2x72-Belt-Grinder-Build

There are pictures, links, and even a video posted there.

I like your take on the Grinder in the box, the work rest table is real good. But you have to nice of a table that the grinders sets on.

What did you use for a contact wheel/

Excellent work on the grinders guys. Do they have variable speed motors? If so, how are you achieving that?

Thanks,
