I have been using this 3/4 inch diameter boring tool on the lathe for quite a few years now. Today while using it I realized that
the stickout I have been using was unnecessary so I decided to make some changes. I milled off some more flats on the top and
bottom so I can have a more rigid setup. I can't count the number of times I have used this simple tool with way too much stick out.
By the marks on the tool, it looks like I had used it correctly on previous occasions.
There, I milled off a little meat so it will be a more rigid setup from now on.
