Asian Lathe Compound Help

Some time back I made an angle setter, somewhat similar to RJ's:

The dowel pins go against the right edge of the cross slide and the compound is rotated so it is flat against the angled side -- the part is shown upside-down. The empty hole was used as part of the machining procedure. It's slightly oversized so its dowel pin could easily be removed after the angle was machined.

Having a set of over/under/on-size reamers makes this kind of thing easy to do.
Pretty slick. Thanks

With your compound set at 0 degrees. Make a punch mark at plus and minus 20 degrees on your xslide. Then when you put the compound forty degree mark on the punch mark you'll have 60 degrees. You can do it with other degree values as well.
