Just picked up a little Bainbridge 356, comparable to the little HF 4 x 6.
This thing looks hardly used although does look the full 35yrs old.
Nice little cheap Craigslist score though, 50 bucks![attachimg=1]

$50 bucks is a good deal, especially if you can do a few repairs and a little cosmetic work on it and have a nicely operating metal saw.

I am not familiar with the brand myself. Where is it made?

Michigan, in the 70's from what I can gather. I didn't know anything about them either. LOL

Yea, I did a search before I went to look at it, and found alot of good reviews except parts availability which didn't concern me since it was priced right and once I looked at it I wasn't worried a bit-the guide bushings looked hardly scratched, I don't think it was used more than 20 times.
Once I got it home I cleaned it up and made sure everything was usable and cut off a piece of aluminium bar stock with not so much as a bounce in the blade!
Of course I still ordered a new blade.
from what little I found on the net one article referred to it as "what the HF 4 x 6 may have been modeled after" but who knows, I think it'll do what I need for awhile.
thanks for the comments guys.

Joe
