Costs involved moving a garage shop out of state

Smaller machines are surely the ticket here.

Another idea I like is buying a suitable trailer when it comes time to move. When I moved my mom out here I bought a used enclosed trailer in Michigan and sold it for a profit in California. If you don’t have a truck you could rent one but buying on one end and selling on the other can definitely work out.

I moved a Monarch lathe from NY to AZ last year, $2000.00 total. I would say its cheaper and smarter just buy another machine out here in AZ. The trouble, risk and cost is not worth it.

Thanks for response Chris. Having all that space and storage definitely must come on handy.

One quick question, is that a surface grinder all the way to the right on the trailer? Why is the base at an angle like that? Just curious.
