Hello All, I am an old member but I have been away for a while. Just picked up a 101.07301 lathe so I can work on some air rifle projects. The lathe is super tight and I cannot find any problems with it at this time. I always tare down my new finds and clean them up before using them. My questions is, looking at the chuck from the tail stock, which way do I spin the chuck off right or left. I believe it should spin off clockwise ???I also need to find some tools and tooling for this lathe.

Remember "righty-tighty leftie-loosie". About the only left-hand threads in the machine are the cross-feed, compound feed and tailstock ram feed screws and nuts.. And the Milling Attachment vertical position screw and nut. That is so that turning the crank or hand-wheel CW moves the slides or ram away from you.
