I found the plans for this three cylinder radial steam engine by Edgar T. Westbury in the Motor Boys International Plans Book. Westbury included a ball bearing crank, an oiling system and an orbital valve instead of a slide valve. A small return crank driven off the rear of the main crankpin gives motion to the orbital valve. Although castings are the normal for this engine I built it from bar stock. The crank is C12L14, the pistons and rods and orbital valve are 7075 AL, the sleeves are C12L14. In the steam chest the orbital valve runs against a brass port plate and has a steel backing plate in the cover so tolerances can be kept very tight. All the rest of the engine is 6061 AL. Making the cylinders took a little extra work to shape them out like a casting. The engine is reversible by switching pressure between the two ports on the steam chest. A most enjoyable build. Hope the short video clip works, the tach says it was running at 3685RPM which may get better as it wears in.
