I have the above noted lathe for wood turning. I've recently had a need to fill the gap with the bed piece so that I can turn closer to the headstock.
What is the correct name for the machined piece of steel/cast iron that goes in this gap to extend the bed the missing 6" (approx) toward the headstock?
I know it is a very long shot, but if I don't even know the name of the part I'll have a very difficult time searching for one.
