Dismantleing A 5m Wellsaw

As long as the bolts aren't rusted solid, it's a pretty straight forward operation. Take a picture of the wiring in the electrical box and remove the wires going to the motor. Remove the counterbalance spring and the hydraulic cylinder, then remove the pivot bolt. The upper frame should just lift off at that point. Just for ease of handling, removing the motor and the sliding weight first might be a good idea. The motor is clamped to it's pivot by one or two bolts and just slides up when loosened. Have some help with you, the upper frame is going to want to fall down when you remove the pivot bolt. I would guess it's about a 20 or 30 minute operation. A can of PB Blaster or other good penetrating oil may be your friend.

Those are nice saws, I have it's big brother, an 8M.

EDIT: Get that rollcase with it if you have room, I've been looking for one for a long time, in my price range of course, which is generally near zero.
