DRO Scale Recommendations (for TouchDRO, and other DROs)

Yes. 1um. I had the 5um with similar issues. I changed it for the 1um with no improvement.

Any thoughts on drilling and tapping the cast iron for the install? I will be drilling blind holes but I don't think a spiral flute tap will work well with CI? Should I just use a straight flute tap? Taper, plug or bottoming?

Looks like you are running into the cyclic error that I saw with my scales. I ended up switching to Electronica 1um scale for the cross slide. It seems to be much better than Ditron magnetic scales.
