I had an Emco Maximat V10 and it was an excellent little lathe. The V13 is a serious machine and has a good reputation. With hardened bedways, good selection of feeds and speeds, decent capacity and good tolerances, it is a very nice machine for a home shop. All the usual rules apply - check the wear on the ways, spindle run-out etc...
If all checks out, snap it up immediately providing you can live with the price. Having seen one in the flesh I was impressed with the fit and finish. It was also reasonable quiet.
I found this locally , They are asking 1599.00 how does this compare to prices in your area? I'm not familiar with this brand but it would look nice in my shop.
It does have tapered roller bearings and hardened bedways so it should still be a good little lathe. Maybe a little high in price but I guess it depends on what tooling you get. The mill would be ok for light work.
