Enco 9x20 spindle bearings

I'm thinking the spindle bearings on my Enco 9x20 need to be replaced because a" pattern" shows up on a turned piece. Also even a newly turned piece can't be indicated dead true because a high point shows up on every second revolution of the spindle.
So... Does anyone have any experience changing the bearings? Is there a recommended procedure to follow? Are the bearings a press fit and will I need a puller?

put a dial indicator on the chuck, try moving it laterally.
