Enco RF-30 Spindle Speed Chart, 8P vs. 4P?

Hi everyone. I bought an Enco branded RF-30 almost two years ago, but due to circumstances and having to move house am just now getting around to putting it through its paces. My question is what 4P vs 8P means on this spindle speed chart? I've seen versions with 50 or 60 hz listed for American vs European electrical systems, but never anything like this. Anyone have an idea?
