First Color Case Hardening Project

Well, I guess it’s done.
I just used some cold blue on the front radius piece. It’s heat treated and ground 4140.
It sure took the blue different from the upper pieces. I didn’t harden the top pieces because of the drastic differences in thickness.
I would think they would crack during the quench.

Just need to grind the balls flat then It's done.

Done and done.
Now, on to the next project.

Turned out nice. Old belt. Piece off old leather boot. I’ve only used tanned leather. How you did it works for sure.
