folding rifle rest

I just finished building this rest. Last night I cut out the parts and this morning I welded it together and painted it. Once the paint was dry I took it to the range and tried it out. It works very well.

Do you use a pad with it?

The Vee where the fore-stock rests is lined with adhesive foam tape.
I may get a sandbag to support the butt stock but it really helps by itself.

Nice job. You could glue some neoprene on the feet. That would make it not slide on the bench. Guys are using what are called "super feet" which is just a disk with neoprene glued to the bottom under their rest feet. They work very well.

Nice work. Is this your own design, or did you get plans somewhere? I'd like to make something like that for my son and brother.
