Hello All.

I picked up a enco 2hp mill drill and the electric motor decided to die within a couple of minutes of ownership.

The dilemma, I am not getting any support from MSC for a replacement and can not locate an aftermarket motor.

The motor is a 2hp single phase 90l frame with a 19mm shaft with the keyway machined to the end. It also has a b5 flange.

I do have access to a static convertor and or a rotary convertor if needed but would like to use single phase if able.

Des anyone have a grizzly 2hp mill drill and know the shaft frame size?

I received a quote of 1500 from 3 places to rewind, has to be a cheaper better way?

The motor can probably be revived- Does it hum but not start or just do nothing?
If you have a multimeter we can help you test it

I do. Keep in mind all the windings are black and broken copper pieces at the bottom in the housing. I tried capacitors first thinking that was it.

Oh that's different- probably no hope then. I'm guessing it was run on 120 volts which can be bad for a motor that big
