This I find to be one of the best ideas in customer service:
Now, I can buy 20 of those little oiler for less than a ten spot on fleabay all day long. But, after paying that and shipping, waiting a week or five, I'll most likely discover that what I thought was a 6mm hole was actually 8mm. Several months later, and having spent way more than the $15 here, I'll finally have an oiler back in place.
The same goes for those tiny screw used to hold carbide inserts. I have several holders with no inserts, because I've lost the screw. Drop that grain of rice and you'll never fish it out of a chip tray. I have learned, to late, not to change bits leaning over the tool while still on the lathe. But, an organizer with a few of each of the most popular sizes would be a such easy sale for me. Even at wildly inflated price, the organized pack is worth having around for convenience.
Does anyone know of a source for these sort of kits for machinists?
