Has anyone used Wahlstrom automatic drill chucks?

Very simple.
Start the spindle and insert the drill or reamer. The chuck will grab the drill no matter what size. Needless to say hold the drill lightly.
To remove, lift the collar and the drill falls out.
Very handy for production work.

Unless all the tools should be running at the same spindle speed, I can't see too much advantage. Plus, I wouldn't recommend this operation to anyone new, because to grab a spinning drill or reamer or whatever tool, you risk entanglement or injury. I wonder how many safety departments approve of it.

I believe I'll pass.

A good idea but I will pass on it also. The man in the video with the long sleeved shirt operating the chuck made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He could get wrapped up in a heartbeat.

I have the ½" one and it works fine for repetitive work. It was given to me so the cost was right.
