I was looking for an engine project different from my previous engines, so I came up with this. I started with a 32 mm piston and rings from ebay. Decided to make the crank with a two inch stroke. Crank was made from several pieces which I pinned and locktited. Both intake are opened by a cam. (As opposed to vacuum operated intake valves used on hit/miss engines) The carburetor is is like what is used on model airplane engines. All bearings are ball bearings. Got the ignition module from Stirlingkit.com. After some tweaking, I am very pleased with the low speed performance.

Forgot to mention. Flywheels were made from barbell weights from Walmart.
