"Homemade" bandsaw almost complete!!

Finally after one year building it, the first real test cuts.
Please don't judge the redneck engeneering too hard I've only been machining for three Years.


Video of the saw in action.
If someone wants more pictures I have many to share, let's see if this gets any interest.
I've never used a comercial bandsaw, are the cuts good, how can I improve the finish on them?

The cut looks fine to me.

It's hard to ignore the general lack of safety shielding though. I hope you're going to improve that.
Be very careful.
 
Cuts look good to me as well. Nicely square too. Saws don't do surface finish. Belt and disc sanders and mills do.

Yes that's very true, the sheet metal covers are already being made, thats why I didn't want to push it and cut very slowly... Under its own weight it can cut much faster! Thank you tho
