Small parts get lost, and often can't be replaced, or, it holds up projects to have to replace them. So we need a way to store them. Here are a few of mine. I store lathe stuff in plastic coffee cans because they cannot rust like their metal counterparts.

In my clock shop I use the Acro Mills cases with various size drawers.

What do you guys use to store small parts?

I use these:

I picked them up at Atwoods for $10 each. Work great. The covers keep out all the dirt.

You can either hang them up like i did or they will stand by themselves.

I use various plastic containers in different sizes depending on the parts. I have found that perscription med bottles are great for storing small pins, clips and such. Sorry, no pics.

A variety of ways. Pictures below.

Hose Clamps, pins, beaqrings, blades, sharpening stones etc.. To the right, nuts and bolts and machine screws

I Love those metal drawers. I especially like all the brass you have up on that top shelf. That brass is getting real hard to find and it aint cheap. I remember when I was younger, everybody around here had some brass in there work shop, probably because of all the brass mills that were in this area at the time. Shoot, 1/2 the city worked in the brass mills 20-30 yrs ago. Waterbury, where i grew up, was "The Brass Capitol of The World" back then. Just about every artillery shell that was fired since World War 2 came out of waterbury. What a shame... all the brass mills got replaced by shopping malls and low income housing.

I would like to point out that all the shops pictured are far too neat and orderly. I would never find anything that way. I cleaned my shop once. Looked for my Ruger barrels for 3 weeks after that!
