Indexable boring bar insert question

I picked up an import indexable boring bar that takes TCMW-21.5 inserts.

I am looking for an internal threading insert that will work in this bar.
Where do I find a cross-reference for this insert?

I don't know of any such cross-reference material to provide a quick answer. Most of the time, the tool comes with a list of inserts it was designed to work with.

Anyhow, you're looking for a flat style with 1/4 IC like these but, unless the exact geometry of your insert holder is known, I can't say for sure these will fit and have proper side clearance.

Thanks. I'll take a look into those.

The machinist at my work mentioned the MSC catalog. Took a quick glance and it does a pretty good job of breaking down the numbering system.
