I'm sure this is covered in other posts, but so others don't have to go on a search I'll repeat.
If I've really screwed something up, please let me know and post corrections!
Standard Logan change gear: 16DP, 14.5PA, 7/16" wide, 5/8" hub with 5/32" key slot.
The QCGB lathes came with a 24, two 48, and a 60 tooth change gears.
The most common metric threads require the transposing gears, the 60 tooth placed as the threading gear, a 42, 48, 54, second 60 for some threads, a 66 and a 72 tooth change gear. Six total, 5 with the provided 48 tooth. Interestingly, the change gear machines came with the 42, 54 & 72 tooth gears. Total cost from Scott as of this date is ~$719. I DO NOT begrudge Scott his prices, this isn't a whine. Just passing on information as a reference.
I asked a eBay seller, Print Doctors, who had some nylon gears listed about other tooth counts and ended up with a 42 and a 54. I believe these are still listed, if not the response to my request about making them was quick and polite. I expect the other gears will be listed at some point, but no idea. It was less than a work week after my request the gears were posted to his store, and he did ask which ones I wanted first. I do plan on following up this week.
The asterisks are the most common metric threads.
The two tables are the same data, the first is by thread, the second is what each gear will cut. The color coding of green rows for the gears that came with the lathe and amber rows for the additional needed gears didn't post. Sorry. I attached the Open Source file.
