I'm new to machining and working on setting up my home shop. I found a mill for sale locally. It's a Chinese clone of a Bridgeport, a Kingport SS 1-1/2 VA. It appears to be nice and tight, few signs of wear and tear.

I cannot find any mention of this machine or company online. My guess is it is a 20+ year old machine and the company is long gone. That's a big concern if I ever find myself needing spare parts. I've heard that the upside of Bridgeport clones is that most Bridgeport parts will work.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this machine and advice?

Well if its in good condition and everything works and unless you are doing major work it will probably last forever. But if the price is comparable to a BP or a later machine might want to wait. I have an Excello and parts for it are pretty hard to find, but standard things like bearings are available. So its price and condition. Post some pics if you get this rare machine:)
