Allison Transmissions ( GM ) in White Marsh to close permanently on May 3 . They moved the closing date up 6 months . This will most likely put a few of my friends out on the street , as well as 1000s of others . The machinists and mechanics won't have trouble finding work , but it won't be at GM union wages . I hope they saved a few bucks along the ride .
